Roger Hargrave is a native of Leeds having been born there in 1948. Roger is one of the most respected contemporary violin makers with a truly international reputation. Now resident near Bremen Germany, his instruments represent the sum total of years dedicated to research and the practice of skills and techniques his studies of the finest golden period Italian instruments has given to him.
This violin, a copy of Guarneri del Gesu is a stunning example, not only in appearance but also the deep, rich, sonorous sound it produces.
