AN ENGLISH VIOLA BY THOMAS KENNEDY CIRCA 1845

An excellent viola by Thomas Kennedy of London which bears its original label and Kennedy’s hand written signatures internally. The length of back is 39.2cm. The viola is in an excellent state of preservation.

The viola is accompanied by a paper from J & A Beare dated 2006. Charles Beare describes the viola as a fine old English viola, the work of Thomas Kennedy and further that this viola is a good and characteristic example of the maker’s work.
